2010 Resolutions
I usually dislike New year’s resolutions. Majority of people like the idea of doing this or that, making this change or starting this project, but what I learned from the past is that half the time, ideas don’t turn into reality. Smokers are still smokers at the end of the year, you are still with that guy who treats you like crap, and you are still uhappily going through the motions of a job you hate.
So, here I am, writing a bunch of resolutions I hope I can keep. What I do believe in is always trying to improve yourself and be a better person-and every day we get the chance to do that… so here goes nothing, or should I say-everything.
1. I will remove all bad vibes and people from my life. Positive energy, thoughts and PEOPLE only!
2. I will regularly check up on my friends and family. Even if life is really busy. If they are important-then being busy is not an excuse not to throw a text or make a phone call, at least, to let them know I am thinking about them.
3. I will start a blog, and write in it every single day. I don’t care if some days I will sound like an idiot, and others like a guru. I will treat it like my daily writing excercise.
4. I will keep my room neat and livable- no more stepping around beauty products or clothes to get from door to bed. If possible, I will transfer all work related things to another room. I’m 30, so I guess my room should stop looking like a teenager lives in it.
5. I WILL finish my book this year. I’ll make time for it-even when I feel like I have none!
6. I will start some sort of work out schedule. It doesn’t have to be crazy Olympic-style training, but it needs to be regular-and paired with better eating habits. I don’t think I can ever go straight HEALTHY all the time, but I WILL incorporate a salad into at least one meal a day and eat fruit every day, and no fast food whatsoever unless I am pmsing and will kill someone if I don’t get a Quarter Pounder or Mini Stop Fried Chicken.
7. I will read at least one new book a month. I love to read but sometimes have no time (there goes that time thing again!) or am too tired.
8. I will seriously do something about my cooking.
There. I said it. Everybody wish me luck and cheer me on once in awhile ok? :D
